Silla Korean Language Institute (Silla KLI) is a top Korean language center located in the south-eastern part of Korea. The nearest subway station to Silla University is Sasang Station. Students can get there in only 7 minutes by taking the school shuttle bus free of charge. Sasang, which surrounds the Silla Campus, offers a variety of activities including shopping, dining, and entertainment. The biggest tourist attractions and all the major areas of Busan are easily accessible from Sasang Station by the convenient public transportation system (subway or bus). Gimhae International Airport is located just 5 minutes away by Light Rail.

Our Courses



The program consists of 400 hours in 20 weeks of studies, providing international students with high-quality intensive Korean language training to assist them in attaining proficiency in the Korean language and developing their cultural awareness. The training program is directed to help prepare students academically to meet university course requirements.

Medium-high intensity means that this school’s pace is above average. This means you’ll have to do a bit more work to keep up with the pace of the course, but in the end, it means you’ll be learning and mastering the language faster.

Total course costs

The total costs include the application fee (KRW 50,000) and the tuition. The application fee is not refundable.

  • Textbook: About KRW 50,000 per term.
  • School health insurance (Optional): About KRW 75,000 for 6 months of coverage.

Term breakdown


• Students learn the basic “survival” commands of Korean, such as greeting, purchasing, ordering, etc.
• Expressing and understanding oneself in simple everyday conversation by making simple sentences from 800 basic words.


• Students are able to distinguish correctly between formal and informal situations, as well as to discuss familiar topics using a vocabulary of about 1,500 to 2,000 words.


• Carrying out transactions with people in public spaces and maintaining social relationships. Understanding the correct usage of words and speech.
• Command of fundamental characteristics of Korean.


• Comprehension of news articles, general social issues and abstract topics with accuracy and fluency.
• Comprehension of Korean social and cultural contents relying on essential idioms and understanding of representative aspects of Korean culture.


• High fluency in using the Korean language in professional research or work.
• Understanding and discussing less familiar topics in politics, economics and other fields.
• Usage of appropriate expressions, distinguishing formal and informal, written and spoken, by context.


• Absolutely fluent in the Korean language for professional research or work.
• Capacity to understand and express oneself without problem, although without the full fluency of a native speaker.
