Why did you decide to study Korean in Korea?
I always liked Asian culture a lot. I had already studied Chinese because I like difficult and different languages. I had already come to Korea on vacation and loved the country. I had the option to continue studying Chinese or to start studying Korean and at that time, I was more attracted to Korean and was in love with the country. And then I met Go! Go! Hanguk through a friend that was going to come with you and I said to myself: “Well, I’m also signing up!”
How has the registration process and service been with Go! Go! Hanguk?
The truth is that if it had not been for Go! Go! Hanguk I might not be studying here. I had been thinking about coming to study in Korea for a long time but when I discovered your website it was like the push I needed. I just would not have known where to start to sign up for school. I think it was very helpful, I could not have done it alone. The process is a lot of paperwork and it takes time. I got desperate, I spent 2 months preparing papers and it’s a bit stressful, but Go! Go! Hanguk was very helpful. I would recommend Go! Go! Hanguk especially to people who have never been to Korea. Take a look for yourself if you have not been to Korea and do not know anyone who can help you; above all, applying is almost impossible without knowing Korean and without knowing about the universities.
Any advice or recommendations you would give to future students?
Above all, they should know they’re going to have to study, it’s not just fun. Although the fun also comes later, but you have to study. I think some people may be thinking that they will not have to study hard and just have a good time. Then, they get a little stressed out with their studies and they get desperate. So, do not despair, study a lot, especially at the beginning until you get used to it. Even if it becomes difficult, you can do it! You just have to be a little constant with your effort and it’s worth it.
